Children's Splatter Experience – Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By making a booking for a child, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of themselves and the participating child.
Participation in the Children's Splatter Experience is subject to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility
Suitable for participants aged 7-12 years and above.
The Studio reserves the right to refuse participation if a child falls outside the stated age range or if participation may pose a safety risk to themselves, other participants, artists, or property.
3. Parental Consent
By making a booking, the parent or legal guardian confirms that:
They have legal authority to consent to the child's participation.
They give permission for the child to attend the session without a parent or guardian present.
The child is capable of participating independently in a group workshop environment.
All information provided during booking is accurate and complete.
4. Health, Medical Conditions and Additional Needs
Parents or guardians must disclose before the session:
Medical conditions
Allergies
Behavioural requirements
Sensory sensitivities
Disabilities
Additional support requirements
Participation is undertaken at the parent or guardian's own discretion and risk.
Paperdoll Art Studio cannot provide one-to-one support or specialist care.
The Studio reserves the right to refuse participation where a child's needs cannot be safely accommodated within a group workshop environment.
5. Supervision
The assigned artist leading the session is DBS checked and experienced in delivering creative workshops for children.
The Children's Splatter Experience is an art workshop and not a childcare service.
Artists will supervise the delivery of the activity but are not responsible for providing individual childcare, behavioural support, or personal care.
6. Arrival and Collection
Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring children arrive on time and are collected promptly at the end of the session.
Paperdoll Art Studio accepts no responsibility for children before the published start time or after the published finish time.
Children will only be released to the parent, guardian, or authorised person named during booking unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing beforehand.
The Studio reserves the right to contact emergency contacts where collection arrangements fail.
7. Clothing and Personal Belongings
Paint may stain clothing, footwear, bags, jewellery, mobile phones, and personal belongings.
Complimentary pre-used coveralls may be provided but are offered as a courtesy only.
The Studio does not guarantee protection against paint transfer, staining, or damage.
Participants should wear old clothes and suitable footwear.
Paperdoll Art Studio accepts no liability for loss of or damage to personal belongings.
8. Behaviour and Safety
Participants must follow all instructions given by the artist hosts.
The following behaviour is not permitted:
Running
Physical aggression
Bullying
Deliberate misuse of materials
Unsafe conduct
Disruptive behaviour affecting the experience of others
The Studio reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is considered unsafe or disruptive.
No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
9. Paints and Materials
The materials used during the workshop are water-based imulsion and intended for creative use only.
Participants must not ingest, misuse, or deliberately apply materials in an unsafe manner.
Parents and guardians acknowledge that participation involves contact with paints and art materials and accept responsibility for determining whether the activity is suitable for their child.
10. Photography and Marketing
Photographs and videos may be taken during sessions for promotional, marketing, website, social media, and educational purposes.
If a parent or guardian does not wish their child to appear in photographs or videos, they must notify Paperdoll Art Studio in writing before the session begins.
The Studio will make reasonable efforts to respect such requests.
11. Artwork
Every participant will create their own artwork during the session.
Artistic results cannot be guaranteed.
Completed artwork must be collected within the collection period communicated by the Studio.
Any artwork not collected within 14 days may be disposed of, recycled, or donated without compensation or further notice.
12. Damage to Property
Parents or guardians accept responsibility for any deliberate or reckless damage caused by the child to Studio property, equipment, fixtures, furniture, or materials.
The Studio reserves the right to recover the reasonable costs of repair or replacement.
13. Cancellations and Changes
Bookings are subject to Paperdoll Art Studio's cancellation and rescheduling policies.
The Studio reserves the right to cancel, postpone, modify, or reschedule sessions due to:
Artist illness
Health and safety concerns
Venue issues
Insufficient numbers
Circumstances beyond reasonable control
Where possible, an alternative date or refund will be offered.
14. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to the above:
Participation is voluntary.
Parents and guardians accept responsibility for assessing whether the activity is suitable for their child.
Paperdoll Art Studio, its artists, employees, contractors, and representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or economic loss arising from participation.
The Studio's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the booking.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Agreement
By completing a booking, the parent or legal guardian confirms that:
They have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
They consent to the child's participation.
They accept responsibility for the child's participation.
They have disclosed any relevant medical, behavioural, or support requirements.
They understand that participation is voluntary and undertaken at their own discretion.
