Bird’s-Eye View Seascape Art Class

A relaxed artist-led experience where your creativity leads the way

Spend 2.5 inspiring hours inside a real working artist’s studio, creating your own contemporary bird’s-eye view seascape on a 30 × 40 cm canvas board.

This is not a formal, school-style lesson, and you won’t be expected to copy the tutor’s painting exactly. Instead, your artist instructor will demonstrate techniques, introduce you to the materials and show you how to develop a seascape from an aerial perspective—while encouraging you to make your own creative choices.

Choose your colours, shape your coastline and add the details that speak to you. Every finished artwork will be completely individual.

Learn From an Established Practising Artist

Your session may be led by Paperdoll Art Studio founder Alma Tipon or by one of our accomplished artist instructors.

Our classes are taught by professional practising artists with established creative careers, their own individual art practices and many years of experience. Our teaching team includes gallery-represented artists whose work has been exhibited and recognised within the art world.

You’re not simply attending a craft activity—you’re spending time with a working artist who can share genuine creative knowledge, demonstrate professional techniques and offer thoughtful guidance as your artwork develops.

What the Experience Will Be Like

Your instructor will show you how to approach a bird’s-eye view seascape and introduce techniques for:

• Creating a strong aerial composition

• Combining blues, turquoise and coastal colours

• Building depth, movement and atmosphere

• Layering acrylics, gouache and other materials

• Adding details with Posca pens

• Using metallic accents to give your artwork a beautiful finish

• Making confident creative choices without worrying about perfection

There is no pressure to keep up, no strict formula and no single “correct” result. You’ll have the freedom to experiment, ask questions and work at your own pace, with supportive guidance available whenever you need it.
