Hi, I’m Alma Tipon.

I am the founder and owner of Paperdoll Art Studio.

I am also a practising artist, so I understand first-hand how difficult it can be to build a creative career, find customers and earn a sustainable income from artwork.

I started Paperdoll Art Studio because I wanted to create meaningful opportunities for artists to use their skills, gain paid work and remain connected to the creative industry. I am proud that Paperdoll Art Studio now supports nine practising artists from our community on a freelance basis and continues to create paid opportunities for artists.

Through years of hard work, continuous marketing, investment and behind-the-scenes development, Paperdoll Art Studio has built a strong and growing audience. From January to July 2026, our website received more than 62,000 views from approximately 23,000 active users.

This reach represents a substantial audience that has been built through consistent effort, investment, advertising, customer service and the continued growth of the Paperdoll Art Studio brand.

I now want to use the platform, audience and exposure we have built to help more artists reach customers and earn from their work.

My aim is to make selling art more accessible by taking care of the commercial side, allowing artists to focus on what they do best: creating.

Paperdoll Artist Royalty Programme

Paperdoll Art Studio provides a sales platform for selected artists. Artists retain ownership of their original artwork and copyright, while granting Paperdoll Art Studio permission to reproduce, market and sell agreed fine art prints. Artists receive an agreed royalty for each eligible sale.

What is the Paperdoll Artist Platform?

The Paperdoll Artist Platform is a new venture created to help practising artists sell high-quality fine art prints of their original artwork.

Artists provide selected artwork, while Paperdoll Art Studio manages the printing, marketing, customer service, packaging, order processing and delivery.

Who can apply?

The platform is open to practising artists with original artwork that is suitable for reproduction as a fine art print.

Each application and artwork collection will be reviewed to ensure it fits the quality, presentation and customer market of Paperdoll Art Studio.

Do I have to pay anything upfront?

No. There are no upfront printing, advertising, website, packaging or management costs for the artist.

Paperdoll Art Studio covers the operational costs and manages the full sales process.

How do artists get paid?

Artists receive an agreed royalty payment for every print sold.

The royalty amount will be agreed before the artwork is launched, so the artist will know how much they will receive from each sale.

Is this passive income?

Yes. Once the artwork has been approved, professionally prepared and listed for sale, it can provide the artist with a passive income opportunity.

Paperdoll Art Studio manages the day-to-day work involved in promoting, producing, selling, packaging and shipping each order.

However, sales cannot be guaranteed and income will depend on customer demand.

What does Paperdoll Art Studio manage?

Paperdoll Art Studio will manage:

  • Professional fine art printing

  • Product listings and website management

  • Artwork presentation

  • Advertising and marketing

  • Access to our existing audience

  • Customer enquiries

  • Payment and transaction processing

  • Packaging materials

  • Order fulfilment

  • Shipping and delivery

  • Customer service

  • General administration

What does the artist need to provide?

The artist will need to provide:

  • Original artwork suitable for printing

  • High-quality professional photographs or scans

  • Artwork titles

  • A short description of each piece

  • An artist biography

  • Information about the inspiration or story behind the collection

  • Approval for Paperdoll Art Studio to reproduce and sell prints of the selected artwork

We may also request photographs of the artist and their creative process for promotional purposes.

Will I still own my original artwork?

Yes. The artist keeps ownership of the original artwork and retains the copyright unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

The artist gives Paperdoll Art Studio permission to reproduce, promote and sell agreed print editions through the platform.

Does Paperdoll Art Studio own my copyright?

No. The artist retains the copyright to their original work.

Paperdoll Art Studio will only receive the agreed licence required to reproduce, market and sell the selected prints.

The full terms will be explained in the artist agreement.

Can I sell my original artwork elsewhere?

Yes, unless an exclusive agreement has been arranged for a particular artwork or print collection.

Any exclusivity terms will be discussed clearly before the collection is launched.

Can I sell the same prints independently?

This will depend on the agreement for the collection.

Some collections may be non-exclusive, while special limited-edition collections may require exclusivity to protect their value and presentation.

This will always be agreed with the artist in advance.

How are the prints produced?

Prints will be professionally produced using high-quality fine art printing methods and carefully selected archival papers.

The exact paper, size and edition format may vary depending on the artwork and collection.

Will the prints be limited editions?

Some prints may be sold as limited editions, while others may be offered as open editions.

For limited editions, the total number of prints, available sizes and artist signing requirements will be agreed before launch.

Do I need to sign every print?

This will depend on the collection.

Some limited-edition prints may be hand-signed, titled and numbered by the artist. Other prints may include a printed signature or certificate of authenticity.

The process will be agreed before the artwork goes on sale.

Who decides the selling price?

Paperdoll Art Studio will recommend the retail price based on:

  • Printing costs

  • Paper quality

  • Packaging

  • Shipping requirements

  • Advertising expenses

  • Payment-processing fees

  • Artist royalty

  • Artwork size

  • Edition size

  • Market positioning

The final pricing structure will be discussed with the artist before launch.

How often will I be paid?

Royalty payments will be made according to the payment schedule stated in the artist agreement.

Artists will also receive information about the number of eligible prints sold during the relevant payment period.

Will I be paid when a customer places an order?

Royalalties are normally calculated on completed and paid sales.

Orders that are cancelled, refunded, returned or affected by a payment dispute may not qualify for a royalty payment.

The full payment terms will be included in the agreement.

Can Paperdoll Art Studio guarantee sales?

No. Paperdoll Art Studio will promote and present the artwork professionally, but sales cannot be guaranteed.

Customer demand may vary depending on the artwork, price, season, audience and market conditions.

How will my artwork be promoted?

Artwork may be promoted through:

  • The Paperdoll Art Studio website

  • Social media

  • Email marketing

  • Online advertising

  • Search advertising

  • Studio visitors

  • Existing customer networks

  • Promotional campaigns

  • Artist features and collection launches

From January to July 2026, the Paperdoll Art Studio website received more than 62,000 views from approximately 23,000 active users. We want to use this established audience and the exposure we have worked hard to build to support more artists.

Will I need to speak to customers?

No. Paperdoll Art Studio will manage customer enquiries, payments, order updates, packaging and delivery communication.

The artist may occasionally be invited to participate in promotional content, interviews, launches or artist features, but this will be discussed in advance.

Who handles damaged or missing orders?

Paperdoll Art Studio will manage customer service relating to printing faults, damaged parcels, missing deliveries and replacement orders.

If a problem results from incorrect information or files supplied by the artist, we will discuss the appropriate next steps with them.

Can I choose which artworks are included?

Artists may propose the pieces they would like to include.

Paperdoll Art Studio will then review the selection and may recommend particular artworks, sizes or collections based on print quality and customer suitability.

No artwork will be launched without the artist’s approval.

Can Paperdoll Art Studio reject an artwork?

Yes. Not every artwork will necessarily be suitable for the platform.

Artwork may be declined because of image quality, printing limitations, copyright concerns, presentation, subject matter or market suitability.

Can I leave the platform?

Yes. The process for ending the partnership will be set out in the artist agreement.

Existing customer orders, limited-edition commitments and already-produced stock may still need to be completed before the artwork is fully removed.

How do I apply?

Artists interested in joining should submit:

  • Their full name

  • Contact details

  • Artist biography

  • Website or social media links

  • Examples of their artwork

  • Details of the pieces they would like to sell

  • High-quality images, where available

Applications will be reviewed, and selected artists will be contacted to discuss the collection, royalty structure and next steps.
