Instead, you're encouraged to follow your own artistic instincts. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, you'll have the opportunity to explore different techniques and materials at your own pace in a relaxed environment. It's all about embracing spontaneity, having fun, and discovering your unique style without the constraints of a structured lesson. In a still life drawing session, you'll develop key skills such as careful observation of shapes, textures, and colors, mastering composition to create balanced arrangements, and understanding proportions, scale, and perspective for accurate depictions. You'll also learn to work with light and shadow to give your drawings a three-dimensional effect, practice shading techniques like hatching and blending for realism, and explore ways to represent texture. Through tonal values, you'll enhance contrast and depth, while experimenting with various mediums like pencil, charcoal, and pastel to achieve different effects.
